What to expect when you stay at our lodge:
When you stay with us:
If you fall ill on holiday, please inform us.
We can provide you with room service, give you extra towels/linen/cleaning materials and can protect our employees better when we are aware. Thank you.
Public areas:
Before check-in or entering our public space, we take your temperature and ask you to fill in our questionnaire.
If your temperature is above 37.3 degrees, a second assessment will be required.
We require our guests to wear masks in public areas.
In every room and public space you will find complementary sanitizer, please make use of this.
We positioned tables in a way, that there is at least 1.5 meter between tables.
If possible, we position tables outside.
Doors are open permanently for good ventilation. Should you experience this as uncomfortable, kindly let us know asap and we can adjust accordingly.
We take care of our employees health by:
Collecting them privately from their homes, to avoid them travelling on taxi’s.
Temperature check before arrival.
Wearing of masks during work.
Sanitizer hands regularly.
Providing a uniform and keeping this clean.
Provide monthly training in health and safety.
Cleaning and servicing you room/lodge/villa:
We strip beds, sanitize, clean, make beds, sanitize rooms before check-in.
Between guest is a 24hour turn around time.
Linen gets washed, tumble dried and ironed on hot temperatures.
In our kitchen:
Our tops are continually sanitized.
Our cutlery and glasses are washed, sanitized and packed for your safety.
Food is prepared by one person only, hereby minimizing exposure.
General situation in South Africa (May 2021):
Currently everybody is welcome to visit South Africa, on arrival (at the border) you will be ask the following:
You will need to complete a Traveller Health Questionnaire upon arrival at your point of entry (e.g., airport)
The Port Health Officials will ask you to produce your negative PCR test.
The test cannot be older than 72 hours from the time of departure from the country of origin
The test result needs to state your name as corresponding to your passport and must be issued by a laboratory with the name of the laboratory indicated on the test. The officials will look for the words “PCR COVID NEGATIVE.”.
Port Health Officials will screen you for any COVID-19 symptoms, or for contact with people who have been infected with the COVID-19 virus. If you present any symptoms or are found to have had exposure to Covid-19, you may need to undergo testing and isolation.
We are currently in Stage 1 of our State of Disaster Act. Stage 5 is full lockdown and stage 1 is the least restrictions (till 15 May 2021). Current restrictions are:
Curfew between 00:00 and 04:00am
Restaurants, theatres, bars, gyms must be closed at 23:00
Face masks are compulsory everywhere
Restaurants, shops, bars, gyms and museums have to make sure that there is a 1.5meter social distance between guests and because of this access can be restricted if it reaches capacity (or prior bookings is compulsory at some places).
Taxi’s (Uber and local companies) are operational
The sale of alcohol is permitted
Nightclub are still closed
No spectators allowed at sporting events
